GoContento Awards Methodology
Our awards process is designed to be transparent, fair, and merit-based. This page explains how nominations work, how we evaluate agencies, and our policies around paid placement and conflicts of interest.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a GoContento Agency Award, an agency must:
- Have an approved, active profile on GoContento
- Have completed the agency verification process
- Have been operating for at least 12 months
- Have received at least one verified client review on GoContento
- Not be currently suspended or under review for violations
Award Categories
Awards are offered in service-specific categories that reflect distinct areas of digital marketing expertise:
Evaluation Process
Self-Nomination
Agencies submit a nomination application describing their work in the selected category, including client outcomes and case studies. The application is reviewed for completeness and relevance.
Eligibility Check
GoContento's editorial team verifies that the agency meets all eligibility criteria. Ineligible submissions are rejected at this stage.
Editorial Review
Eligible nominations are assessed against four criteria: (a) quality and depth of submitted case evidence, (b) verified client review scores on GoContento, (c) profile completeness and trust signals, (d) breadth of relevant service expertise.
Finalist Selection
The editorial team selects finalists based on comparative assessment across all nominations in a category. Finalists are notified and their status displayed on their profile.
Winner Announcement
Winners are selected from finalists and announced at the close of the award cycle. Winners receive a digital badge for display on their profile and website.
Paid Placement & Sponsorship Disclosure
Awards are not for sale. Payment of any kind — including GoContento Premium subscriptions — does not influence award nominations, finalist selection, or winner status.
Agencies that hold a Premium plan may have enhanced profile features and visibility in the general directory, but this does not confer any advantage in the awards process.
Where agency profiles appear with a "Sponsored" or "Featured" label anywhere on GoContento, this indicates paid placement — not editorial endorsement and not an award.
Award winners and finalists are selected solely on the basis of the editorial criteria described in this methodology.
Conflict of Interest Policy
GoContento team members who have a personal or business relationship with a nominated agency must recuse themselves from that agency's evaluation. Agencies that are clients, investors, or partners of GoContento are eligible to apply but are subject to additional scrutiny by independent reviewers.
If you believe there is a conflict of interest in any award decision, please contact us at [email protected].
Archive Policy
Past year awards are preserved as permanent archives. A new award cycle begins each calendar year with fresh nominations. Winning a prior year award does not guarantee finalist or winner status in subsequent years. Historical award pages remain accessible at /awards/[year].
